To achieve our vision of healthy sustainable Los Angeles and San Gabriel Rivers Watersheds we must know where we are and where we are going. The Watershed Monitoring Programs allow us to assess current baseline conditions, determine if conditions are improving or declining, and identify areas to focus more resources.
By monitoring the value of our river systems, from traditional water quality parameters to built features, we are assessing progress towards our goals of improving the quality and reliability of our local water resources and promoting healthy native habitat both in the stream channels and receiving waters.
